Arsenal to battle with Manchester City for Real Betis star
According to reports, Arsenal and Manchester City are interested in signing Real Betis left back Junior Firpo.
Firpo, 22, has impressed with his performances so far this season. Junior was one of the best players against Barcelona at Camp Nou, where Betis beat La Liga champions 3-4.
Newcastle and Crystal Palace are also interested in Spanish youngster.
Firpo has recently spoken out on interest from EPL clubs.
"I've heard about interest from other clubs for certain. I've told my agents not to tell me anything during the season.” he said (via The Sun)
"Nothing can be done until the transfer window opens.
“But ideally I will hear something on January 1." he added.
Unai Emery wants Firpo to replace Nacho Monreal. Monreal, 33, will become a free agent in summer of 2019. Sead Kolasinac will be the only left back. FIrpo can also play from right, which means he can replace either Kolasinac or Bellerin.
