Armenia National team head coach Armen Gyulbudaghyants is confident; his national team can fight with any rival.
In an interview with Armenia Football Federation’s official website, the head coach shared his thoughts on their Euro 2020 qualification round rivals.
“As I said before, Italy national team are the favourite in Group J. Despite their latest unsuccessful results, especially that they didn't qualify for the World Cup 2018 in Russia and they were second in their Nations League group, they are very strong team. Following the draw, Italy National team manager Roberto Mancini has said, that they have taken the path of youngsters to try and build a different national team."
"We played against Italy in World Cup 2014 qualifiers and in my opinion, we played well. For comparison Italy was not the most strongest rival in pot A, as there were teams like France, Belgium, Spain etc. But Azzuri
were in the first pot, so talks for itself," added Gyulbudaghyants.
The first match between Armenia and Italy national teams will take place on 5th September 2019 in Yerevan.
