Andy Ruiz opens up to Mike Tyson about how first Anthony Joshua fight was arranged

Andy Ruiz Jr has spoken about how Eddie Hearn answered his prayers to arrange the first fight with Anthony Joshua. The Mexican, who holds the WBA, WBO and IBF belts, beat Joshua in June. Their rematch scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia on December 7. Ruiz revealed how Joshua’s promoter had replied to his message asking him to consider him to fight Joshua, after he beat Alexander Dimitrenko on April 20. “I was mentally focussed for that fight, especially because April 20 I finally got done fighting Alexander Dimitrenko,” Ruiz said on the Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson podcast. “So I was just ready, after I took him out in the fifth round I think he didn’t want to continue and I was all set. After that fight, I kept saying that I want to fight Anthony Joshua if they don’t have a fight or an opponent. I kept saying I want to fight him, I’m ready because I just got done the fighting.”
