Andy Ruiz Jr apologizes to Eddie Hearn for beating Anthony Joshua before taking swipe

Andy Ruiz Jr has apologized to Matchroom Boxing chief Eddie Hearn for spoiling Anthony Joshua’s American debut. The Mexican-American spoiled Joshua’s eagerly-anticipated first trip across the Atlantic on June 1. “I just needed that right moment and the right chance to prove who Andy Ruiz really is,” he told iFLTV. “So thank you, Eddie Hearn, for giving me this opportunity and I'm sorry for beating Anthony Joshua.” Ruiz Jr will rematch Joshua on December 7 in Saudi Arabia, where he’ll look to retain his WBA (Super), WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight titles.
