Andy Robertson speaks out on winning a trophy for Klopp and reveals how the full-backs will approach the game given Spurs' attackers

Photo/Stuart Franklin/Getty Images Liverpool face Tottenham in the 2019 Champions League final this weekend. The Reds took their place in a second consecutive final after coming from behind to dump out Barcelona in the semi-finals. Spurs needed some second-leg heroics themselves with Lucas Moura grabbing the latest of winners to send them through against Ajax. They now meet each other in Madrid for the right to call themselves European champions. Ahead of the game, Liverpool player Andy Robertson has spoken out to the press. It’s the same for both teams and we need to deal with it. When the game gets started, we have the deal with the same situation. It’s something we’ve played in before. Robertson on if Spurs are the underdogs I don’t think they’re underdogs. The league games have been the toughest I’ve played. They can cause us problems but we can cause them problems as well. Both teams are fairly matched and we look forward to going toe-to-toe with them. For me, it’s fairly even, Robertson on how the full-backs will approach the game given Spurs' attackers We play in a certain way and every game we go into we give the team full respect. We’re first and foremost defenders. If we can keep the attacking players quiet then we’ve done half our job. We defend as 11 players. Hopefully, we’ll all be spot on with that tomorrow. Robertson on winning a trophy for Klopp Since the manager has come here he’s changed how the club is. We want to repay him with a trophy. It’s not just for him, it’s for everyone behind it.
