Andy Murray to face Kyle Edmund in Battle of the Brits

Andy Murray has avoided the ‘group of death’ in the Battle of the Brits. The tournament was organised by Jamie Murray to provide British players with some competitive tennis amid the tour suspensions and travel restrictions of the coronavirus crisis. Scheduled for June 23, the Battle of the Brits will be played at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton. The competition will follow similar lines to the ATP Finals. Jamie Murray made the draw, and described brother Andy Murray as the ‘one hip wonder’ as he was placed in the Tim Henman group alongside Kyle Edmund, James Ward, and Liam Broady. Murray avoided British number one Dan Evans.  He is in the Greg Rusedski group along with Cam Norrie, Jay Clarke and Jack Draper. “We’ve got the group of death. I called it,” Jamie Murray said after pulling Evans’ name out the hat. Source: Tennis 365
