"Amazing": Oliver Skipp's claim about Tottenham defender will warm fans hearts

Oliver Skipp has shared how ‘amazing’ it has been that both he and Japhet Tanganga have ‘grown up’ together in the Tottenham ranks. Speaking to Sky Sports during their live coverage of the U21 European Championships, Skipp was speaking about his rise, and Tanganga’s, into Tottenham’s first team. “I was really excited to see the Spurs boys because you can message them but it’s not the same compared to that face-to-face contact,” said Skipp. “Obviously, I have known Japh (Tanganga) for the longest. I was with the under 9’s and going on tour with, Japh. It’s been amazing that we have grown up together in the academy. “That first tour together I remember when he was marking Ronaldo against Juventus and I was playing in midfield. We were both at the academy from the age of 10 or 11. We both made it. Both in the first team. So, it has been really nice to catch up with everyone.” Both Tanganga and Skipp are the future for Tottenham, with the former already in the first-team figure. Skipp’s performance for Norwich this season has been exceptional. The combative natured player is a Mourinho-like player, who already has first-team caps under his belt, both in the Premier League and in the Champions League.
