Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri and Mikel Arteta are the leading contenders to become Arsenal new manager.
Following Arsene Wenger’s announcement to retire after 22 years in charge, the Gunners are searching for a new head coach. On May 13 Arsenal will play their final Premier League game of the season at Huddersfield Town.
Wenger who is not involved in the recruitment process for his replacement announced back in 2011 that he would like to see his former player Dragan Stojkovic as his successor.
However, Juventus boss Allegri and former Gunners captain Mikel Arteta are the frontrunners to replace Wenger.
Barcelona boss Luis Enrique and Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim also remain possible options on the Arsenal shortlist.
Enrique won two La Liga titles, three Copa del Reys and a Champions League during three seasons at the Camp Nou, so he is also a possible candidate.
