Why Alisson is one of the best players so far in the Premier League

The Premier League is already four games old but some players are impressing already with Liverpool’s Alisson among them. The goalkeeper has already proved that he can outshine his goalkeeping rivals with both his hands and feet. He has produced three clean sheets and continues to underline the progress made by Jurgen Klopp at the back of the pitch. The Reds splashed £67million for Alisson from Roma earlier this summer and the Brazilian has been a cornerstone of their performances so far. His three clean sheets can be compared with those of the highest in the division Joe Hart (Burnley), Alex McCarthy (Southampton), Neil Etheridge (Cardiff) and Kepa Arrizabalaga (Chelsea) all on two. Alisson also boasts the highest save percentage in the entire division with the 25-year-old keeping out 90.9 per cent of the shots he has faced. On his debut in a pre-season friendly against Napoli he launched an 80-yard through ball to Mohamed Salah that almost led to a goal. In total he has made 118 passes with a long pass accuracy of 66 per cent, the next highest is 38 per cent.
