Alisson Becker makes surprise Ballon d'Or claim

Alisson Becker won the Champions League with Liverpool and returned to Brazil to help his side in the Copa America. Brazil have reached the finals of the Copa America and Alisson has kept a clean sheet in every game. He alongside with his Liverpool teammates Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are being viewed as favorites to win the Ballon d'Or. However, Alisson claims he cannot win the Ballon d'Or because he is "just a goalkeeper". "I just limit myself to doing my job," he said. "There are a lot of top players aspiring for that prize. I'm just a goalkeeper." There is only one goalkeeper in history that has won the Ballon d'Or and it's Lev Yashin of the Soviet Union in 1963 and the last goalie to make the top 3 was Manuel Neuer in 2014.
