Why Alexis Sanchez is missing from Solskjaer first training session

Alexis Sanchez is set to miss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first training. After Jose Mourinho’s sacking  Solskjaer took the head coach’s position and will take charge of his first session on Thursday ahead of this weekend's trip to former club Cardiff. But he won't be able to call on former Arsenal star Sanchez, who celebrated his 30th birthday earlier this week. He was pictured at his home in Chile with family and friends and seemed to be in good spirits as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury. Earlier Mourinho confirmed he was unlikely to play for around six weeks and he is set to return in January. The Manchester United winger yesterday celebrated his 30th birthday surrounded by friend and relative in native Chile and saw funny side as his face was pushed into his birthday cake. It has been a hugely frustrating season so far for Sanchez, who scored just one goal in 12 appearances before suffering an injury that is set to keep him out until the middle of January.
