Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is getting closer to making his Liverpool first-team return after playing in a behind closed doors friendly at Melwood on Tuesday.
The midfielder was stretchered off in the Champions League semi-final first leg against Roma last April and since that he has been fighting to be fit for playing again.
The 25-year-old made his comeback for Liverpool Under-23s against Derby County on March 8 but was substituted after 40 minutes due to discomfort in his hamstring.
That issue has since cleared up and weeks later Oxlade-Chamberlain was given the green light to get more game time. (via

However, Jurgen Klopp claimed that he won't start Alex until he's ready to take his place in a first-team match day squad.
