Alex Iwobi reveals what Mesut Ozil’s critics get wrong about his role

Arsenal winger Alex Iwobi has defended Mesut Ozil following the German's return to action for Unai Emery. At the Emirates in the return fixture, they won with a 3-0 win to progress in the Europa League round of 16. Mesut Ozil was linked up well with Iwobi and their work together produced some of the best moments of the match for Arsenal. "That was for the group and the fans," said Iwobi after the final whistle, in tribute to the supporters. "We showed that we are able to make a fighting comeback as a team. "We have had good and bad moments this season but the aim is to keep improving and I'm really happy we got through." On Ozil specifically, he was full of praise in his post-match interview with BT Sport. "We know what Mesut's like because we see him in training every day," he said. "He's world-class. "We scored three goals as a result of him playing. I know if I make a run he has the vision to find me. "Hopefully he can keep on playing."
