Alasdair Gold provides update on Tottenham's pursuit of Pape Matar Sarr

Alasdair Gold has provided a transfer update on Tottenham target Pape Matar Sarr. He believes the deal is at an advanced stage now. Journalist says the Spurs view this deal like it was with Dele Alli as they think Matar Sarr is a top talent they should go for. “I’m told by French journalists and also by people that are in and around Spurs that he is a proper talent, like one of the most gifted young players in France. Think the Dele Alli deal, that’s pretty much what Spurs see this as. They think they need to get him now or else someone else will get him and he’ll become one of the best around,” Gold said on Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast. “He’s a very versatile player, I was looking at his stats and he played a lot of minutes for a young player. It’s at an advanced stage now, so it looks like that’s going to happen, loaned back, I can’t see it as anything other than a good deal.”
