Alasdair Gold delivers latest on Tottenham's pursuit of goalscoring ace

Football.london journalist Alasdair Gold believes it's unlikely that Tottenham will enter a bid for Ollie Watkins. The player enjoyed a wonderful season with Brentford the last term and is entirely deserves an opportunity to prove himself in the Premier League. Speaking to his YouTube channel, Gold said: "Ollie Watkins from Brentford, he’s a player that Spurs do like. A 24-year-old, he scored a lot of goals that got Brentford to the play-off final, however, I’m told that Spurs do not get into bidding wars. "With Watkins that auction is going to happen. Brentford are wanting £20-25million and Spurs won’t do that. They do like the player, plus he’s homegrown, but they won’t get into any auctions for the player.”
