Alan Shearer goes nuts about three Wolves players on Match of the Day

Alan Shearer has bestowed Portuguese playmaker Daniel Podence with praise after he ripped apart Crystal Palace on Friday night. Podence scored Wolves' second goal to make the game safe after Rayan Ait-Nouri had opened the scoring on his debut for Nuno Espirito Santo's side. Podence had a hand in Ait-Nouri's goal too with an excellent run down the right and a cross to the far post where the youngster fired home. Shearer, speaking on Match of the Day on Saturday, also grown lyrical about the performances of Ait-Nouri and fellow wing-back Nelson Semedo. “Rayan Ait-Nouri, Nelson Semedo and Daniel Podence," Shearer began, "they made the pitch huge, stretched Crystal Palace and they couldn’t handle it. "The stretch of play was on and this guy here, Podence, was absolutely fantastic. He gave them a torrid evening: trickery, full of commitment, passion, willing to get forward. “Semedo: driving forward, a constant threat, a beautiful weight of pass. What a debut, what a finish by Ait-Nouri, but Podence wasn’t to be outdone.”
