On May 14th, Tottenham Hotspur are set to host Manchester City in their last home game of the Premier League season.
With a chance to secure fourth place still in sight, Spurs need Aston Villa to slip up against Liverpool.
Despite a recent win against Burnley, Ange Postecoglou's side face the possibility of missing out on Champions League qualification if the Villains win them.
Moreover, the match against the reigning champions carries added meaning, as a Spurs win could indirectly benefit rivals Arsenal in the title race.
While Kai Havertz has pledged support for Spurs, pundits Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker are looking for a challenging match as the pundits shared their predictions on The Rest Is Football.
“It’ll be an interesting game against City,” Lineker said. “I can’t see anything but a few goals with Spurs’s high line and Haaland with the way he runs in behind.
“I kind of fear the worst a little bit for Tottenham and Arsenal a little bit of course.”
Shearer, on the other hand, agreed with the former Spurs striker but added that he can see City scoring most of the goals tomorrow night.
“I think there will be plenty of goals and probably most of them from Man City,” the Newcastle United legend added.
