Ajax reject £17m bid from Bayern Munich for Tottenham target

Ajax have rejected a €20million (£17million) bid from Bayern Munich for reported Tottenham target Sergino Dest, according to De Telegraaf. German champions were just £8million away from securing a deal, as the Amsterdam side were looking for a fee of around €30million (£25million). Dest has impressed since joining Ajax from Almere City in 2012. Despite being born in the Netherlands, he was chosen to play for the United States internationally. This season the 19-year-old has scored 2 goals and assisted 6 times for the club. Bayern is in the favorites to sign the player at the end of the season. So Ajax may bee willing to set a €26million (£22million) fee for the player. Tottenham have also been linked with the move of the right-back. The initial interest came since Mauricio Pochettino's management, and the Spurs are still likely to have Dest in their wish-list.
