Ajax head coach Erik Ten Hag has revealed the club is following Jan Vertonghen’s situation at Tottenham and could consider a move for Belgium international in summer.
Vertonghen, who joined Spurs from the Eredivisie side back in 2012 will become a free agent and hasn’t yet signed a new deal with North London side.
“Jan has a history at Ajax. Of course we are following his situation very closely, but you also have to look at the position in which someone plays,” Ten Hag told TV channel Ziggo (via Sport Witness).
“If that comes together, the availability and the position in which he plays, then he is an option.” he added.
