Agent opens up on Nicolas Otamendi future

Nicolas Otamendi's agent Martin Sendoa has revealed Manchester City defender is likely to end his career at home country's club River Plate. The 32-year-old has joined the Citizens in the summer of 2015.  He found his playing time limited with Pep Gaurdiola's side, having made just 18 league appearances last season. Otamendi's contract with City expires in 2022. As the defender is nearing to his career end, Sendoa has revealed the player is possible to return to Argentina club River Plate. He told TyC Sports: "Nicolas’ desire is to retire in River, he is dying to play there. He is well at [Manchester City], he is playing more than last year. But if River calls him and convinces him...in June it may happen. No leader has called me, they still have not made a move. Nicolas is not going to offer, he has to get the call from Gallardo. But one call would change everything.  It is very difficult for an Argentine club to pay his contract. Otamendi is a top player and is playing in the best league in the world."
