Mikel Arteta was interested in signing Emmanuel Dennis from Club Brugge before the striker joined Watford for a cut-price £3.4 million.
As per
CompleteSports, the 24-year-old's agent has confirmed that Arsenal were one of the sides keen on getting the player.
“Arsenal were interested in the past,” says Dennis’ agent, Drew Uyi. “Manchester United were also interested, but for Club Brugge (asking for a) ridiculous fee (the move might have happened).
“They wanted £25 million, while these clubs were prepared to pay £15 million. In the end, he joined Watford for £3.4 million because his contract was running out.”
Dennis has managed to score 6 goals and provide 5 assists in just 14 Premier League appearances so far.
