The upcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations is drawing near, and the 24 participating teams are gearing up for the event.

Scheduled from January 9 to February 6, the tournament will be hosted by Cameroon. It will encompass 52 matches, spread across five cities and played in six stadiums.

These cities are Yaounde, Douala, Garoua, Limbe, and Bafoussam, while the stadiums include Japoma, Olembe, Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo, Roumde Adjia, Kouekong, and Limbe Stadium.

Algeria, the current titleholders, are determined to defend the championship they secured in 2019, marking their second title victory.

How to watch Afcon 2021 on TV & live stream in South Africa

South African football enthusiasts will enjoy live access to all 52 matches in Cameroon as SuperSport is set to broadcast them. SuperSport TV's PSL channel 202 will cover 43 of these matches, while the remaining nine games will be aired on SuperSport Variety 3 channel 208.

In addition to the live broadcasts, SuperSport Variety 3 has been exclusively devoted to Afcon, offering a range of engaging content such as match highlights, player spotlights, magazine programs, key clashes, and statistical insights.

A notable development for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations is that the African streaming service, Showmax, will for the first time stream all 52 matches live, expanding the reach of the tournament to a wider audience.

Furthermore, SABC 1 will also be a part of the action by broadcasting both live and delayed games, ensuring that fans have multiple avenues to enjoy the tournament.
