AC Milan are prepared to offer two players to Arsenal in exchange for Lucas Torreira.
The Gunners would be hugely reluctant to lose Torreira, one of their outstanding performers in Unai Emery’s first season at the club. They will not consider doing a deal with any suitor unless the player tells them he wants to move or an offer materialises that is too good to be refused
The Rossoneri are more optimistic about Rodriguez being accepted as part of a player-plus-cash deal, however, with Milan ‘convinced’ that the player is exactly what Unai Emery is looking for.
Gazzetta also report that Arsenal will only let Torreira leave if they land a replacement first, and the Gunners have identified Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos as the ideal successor.
Torreira joined Arsenal from Sampdoria for £27million last summer and is said to be keen to return to Italy and reunite with his former manager Marco Giampaolo, who has just been appointed as the new head coach at Milan.
