Why Aaron Ramsey should not sign a new contract with Arsenal

The longest-serving player’s situation at Arsenal remains on doubt. Ramsey has less than 12 moths remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium and has yet to come to an agreement over the extension. The 27-year-old started the defeat to Manchester City, but was hooked after 54 minutes, while against Chelsea he was on the substitutions’ bench. And former England boss Sam Allardyce believes Ramsey should leave the club. Speaking as a pundit on BeIn Sports at the weekend, Allardyce said: "What does Ramsey think of his new manager when [Matteo] Guendouzi gets in front of him, and [Alex] Iwobi? "I would be sat on that bench saying 'there's no way I'm signing a new contract'. Iwobi's been there quite a while, but the young lad, he might be a very very good player but he's certainly not better than Ramsey at this moment in time."
