“A lot of millions” - Raul Jimenez makes transfer admission amid Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham interest

Wolves star Raul Jimenez believes his decision to reject China’s offer and join Wolves has now been vindicated. Jimenez had plenty of offers as he was on the Bench of Benfica. The most lucrative of those offers arrived from the Chinese Super League. Jimenez, who spent three seasons at Benfica, turned it down for a shot at the Premier League. "It was difficult because it was for a lot of millions," he admitted during an interview with Sky Sports. "But I knew it was not the time to make that decision to - I can say it - almost end my career. It is not the same being in China as being in Europe. I think that I made the right choice.” The player has scored 22 goals in his 43 appearances and those numbers have gained him interest from Tottenham, Manchester United, Chelsea. Jimenez’s long-term future could hinge on whether Wolves qualify for the Champions League. "It would be amazing," added Jimenez. "We are competing in the Europa League and we have a good chance, I think. We have been playing some great games so if we can continue like that then I think we can achieve something. In the Premier League, everyone knows it's Liverpool's, but if we can keep going then we can compete at the highest level." Source: Birminghammail Join us on Telegram!
