"A good experience." Andorra's Ildefons Lima talks about facing England, Jadon Sancho and more

England faced Andorra in the World Cup Qualifiers and celebrated a 5-0 victory. Goals from Ben Chilwell, Bukayo Saka, Tammy Abraham, James Ward-Prowse and Jack Grealish helped the Three Lions to celebrate the victory. After a night with many goals, there was a moment that caught the eyes of the fans. During the game, at the 31st minute, Ildefons Lima entered the pitch for Andorra as he replaced Christian Garcis. Lima, 41, became the oldest UEFA player to appear in the qualifying rounds for Qatar 2022. The 41-year-old, who currently plays for Inter d'Escaldes, played until the 63rd minute as he suffered a hamstring injury after trying to keep up with Jadon Sancho. And although Lima suffered an injury and couldn't continue playing against the Three Lions, following the game he took to Twitter and made a hilarious post involving Sancho. And one day later, he made another post.     Lima is currently the most capped player for his national team and he holds the record for most goals. And after this story, we decided to have a chat with the 41-year-old and asked him a few questions. Having had a remarkable career, he has come up against many big-name players and to the question who has been the toughest player that he has faced in his career, Lima simply told VBETNews that it's Brazil legend Ronaldo. Also, Lima mentioned Paolo Maldini as his icon and the player who has inspired him to become a professional football player. As mentioned above, Lima is currently the most capped player for his national team and he holds the record for most goals. The Andorra legend had a message to those who have just started their career of representing the national team. "Work hard and enjoy every day, time goes away too fast," Lima said. During the World Cup Qualifiers, Andorra have already come up against England twice and they have conceded overall 9 goals and scored zero. The Three Lions are currently leading Group I, where they have been placed along with Andorra, Albania, Poland, Hungary and San Marino. "Amazing game," the center-back said. "Young players liked me…they have an amazing future." "A good experience as always that you face a young player with a big future," he added while speaking of Jadon Sancho.
