Six Everton players’ contracts are expiring in the next 18 months and here is the list of the players and also the rundown of what is most likely to happen next.
Niasse’s contract is set to expire this summer – 2020.
The 29-year-old has made just one substitute appearance this term while under the guidance of interim manager Duncan Ferguson.
After a rollercoaster four-years at Goodison Park, it is almost guaranteed he will leave in the next six months.
However, if not, Niasse will be free to leave at the expiration of his contract in the summer.
Martina, alongside Niasse, will probably leave, as his contract expires in the end of the campaign.
He last made an appearance for the Toffees in March 2018 and has spent time on loan at Stoke City and Feyenoord.
The full-back is also available this month but will find himself available on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Stekelenburg has lately regained his position as Jordan Pickford’s understudy as summer-signing Jonas Lossl dropped out of the squad.
The goalkeeper has not featured in any Premier League game since 2017.
He may depart this summer, as his contract comes to end and Everton are likely to let him leave and find a new back-up or promote Joao Virginia, who is set to return from his loan spell at Reading.
