£50m star confesses 'very happy' status at Wolves amid surging transfer interest

Wolves sensation Rayan Ait-Nouri credits manager Gary O'Neil for boosting his confidence as the Algerian continues to shine at Molineux this season.

The 22-year-old has emerged as a key figure on the left side, making 23 appearances and amassing 1512 minutes of game time so far. This marks a significant increase compared to last season under various managers, where he managed 27 appearances for 1480 minutes.

Ait-Nouri's rise hasn't gone unnoticed by O'Neil, who previously praised the youngster's potential, hailing him as 'mad' but with limitless capabilities.

Speaking after his return from AFCON, where he represented Algeria, the player expressed his gratitude towards the manager for instilling confidence in him.

Despite Algeria's early exit from the tournament, Ait-Nouri's return to the club has been eagerly welcomed by fans who have witnessed his impressive performances this season.

This resurgence contrasts with the challenging end to the previous season, during which he found himself excluded from several matchday squads under Julen Lopetegui's management.

Reflecting on his current situation, the left-back conveyed his happiness at being back with the club, emphasizing his love for the Wanderers, his teammates, and the coaching staff.

“I’m very happy to be back. I love this club. My teammate and the coach, it’s very good, and I’ll continue to work. It’s different, the conditions are different, the weather also, and the pitches.

“I needed to come back well and be ready for every game to reward the confidence the manager gave me, and I want to continue like this.” Ait-Nouri confessed via Wolves' official website.
