VBET’s red-hot football expert considers the chances of three upsets as the FA Cup returns to our screens this weekend:
CARDIFF TO WIN AT FOREST
Odds: 2/1
With Cardiff bang out of form, many might be expecting a home win. We don’t see that being the case, though, and odds of 2/1 about an away victory look most tempting.
Cardiff boss Neil Harris is desperate for a win – any win – after a string of rotten results, whereas a much-improved Forest will not be too interested about a Cup run as they look to pull clear of the Championship relegation zone.
Cardiff also have a fine recent record at the City Ground, further adding to the theory that City might just nick this one.
PLYMOUTH TO BEAT HUDDERSFIELD
Odds: 3/1
Plymouth have impressed League One observers with their attractive brand of football this season under the guidance of Ryan Lowe. Seemingly in a position of relative comfort in the table, they could feasibly strike gold in West Yorkshire.
Huddersfield are also doing pretty well of late, but we expect the hosts to play a much-changed starting XI for this one, while Plymouth will not have such a luxury.
To that end, VBET’s odds of 3/1 about a Plymouth victory could prove bang on the money.
WBA TO DRAW AT BLACKPOOL
Odds: 5/2
This is precisely the fixture Sam Allardyce could do without. Blackpool are a pretty useful side on their day at home, and yet a beleaguered West Brom side must try and get a result to quell the dissenting voices about their new manager.
Allardyce will be aware of this, and is likely to name a strong team. But whether or not his players will be up for it – knowing too well of the big games that are upon the horizon – is contentious.
VBET traders have not been surprised, then, to see lots of nice bets at odds of 5/2 about the game ending a draw after 90 minutes.
