VBET’s traders continued their winning run at Musselburgh last weekend and are back on the hunt for value with three horse racing tips on day one of the Grand National meeting at Aintree:
A touch disappointing on soft ground at Ascot last time, but this has been the plan ever since. A sounder surface and this step back in trip should get him back fully firing.
Had Clan Des Obeaux well held in the King George over Christmas, and has unsurprisingly been steadily backed in a wide-open renewal.
Conditions remain a big question mark, but he could be the class act in the field if allowed to take his chance.
Steadily progressed into an ultra-sharp hurdler in his homeland and has enough quality to reverse Punchestown form with Abacadabras. Everything he has done so far suggests he will come into own over two and a half miles.
Caught a little flat-footed when it mattered in the Cheltenham equivalent last month, when a bad error at the 18th fence also did him no favours. Still did pretty well to finish sixth, though, and will be much happier with his lot at a track like Aintree.
He should also come into his own over two miles and five furlongs on a decent surface. With top jockey Jamie Codd receiving the leg-up, he holds outstanding each-way claims at a double-figure price.
