Unai Emery Press Conference: The coach speaks out on Lucas Torreira’s overhead kick,Mustafi injury and Sokratis ban

Arsenal earned 1-0 victory over Huddersfield on Saturday, with Lucas Torreira scoring an impressive overhead kick in the last minute of the match. The 22-year-old only joined the club in the summer but is already looking like a fantastic signing for the Gunners with a string of decent performances. In his press conference following the match Unai Emery has praised Torreira and stated he wants the player “to break every expectation”. “Last week he scored and today also,” Emery said. “He has quality and his interpretation of the pitch tactically both defensively and offensively. “He is quick in his mind and foot. We want to break every expectation. “He is improving and he also has the commitment every day to learn English.” Despite the win Emery was handed a blow during the match, with both Sokratis and Shkodran Mustafi picking up their fifth bookings of the season which means they’ll miss next week’s game against Southampton. “Now I don’t know how we’re going to play next week. “But we have players. Today Lichtsteiner played at centre-back, in Manchester also. Koscielny is coming, also Nacho Monreal. I have players.” On Mustafi’s injury the head coach was positive, “I think it’s a small one. The injuries, the yellow cards come with the matches. “The most important now is two days off for every player, for us also, and coming back Tuesday thinking Thursday in the Europa League and Southampton.” The Gunners’ next fixture is against Qarabag FK in the Europa League on December 13 at The Emirates.
