Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane is leaving the door open to a departure this summer.
While Real president Florentino Perez has plans to extend Zidane’s contract at the end of the season, it’s emerging the 44-year-old specialist is now coveting another job.
According to Don Balon, the La Liga side manager is open to succeeding Didier Deschamps as France coach.
Zidane would welcome the chance to lead his country at the 2018 World Cup in Russia and it’s claimed this is why he’s been so vague in recent weeks about his plans next season.
Note that France are expected to comfortably qualify for the World Cup, however, there are doubts about Deschamps after last summer’s defeat in the final of the Euros.
