Wolverhampton Wanderers have joined the race alongside fellow Premer League rival Aston Villa to get Nacho Fernandez's transfer.
As per recent reports, Julen Lopetegui is keen to reunite with the Spaniard, as the pair worked together in 2018 during the manager's one-season spell at Real Madrid.
The 32-year-old is currently in his final year at the Bernabeu with a contract expiring in the upcoming summer.
However, the departure could come sooner, in January, as the defender, who spends his time more on the bench than on the pitch this season, is not in Carlo Ancelotti at the Bernabeu.
Meanwhile, according to Mundo Deportivo, the Villains are also in the race to sign the player. Both Unai Emery and Lopetegui just switched to Premier League recently from La Liga and are keen to compete their squad with fellow Spaniards.
