Chelsea have now officially parted ways with Thomas Tuchel.
The Blues' latest bitter run in the Premier League made it a step closer to the German manager's departure. Yesterday's Champions League group stage game against Dinamo Zagreb was like the last drop of the club owners' cup of patience.
The expectations were high from Tuchel, while it was quite shocking to see his team losing to the Croatian side in the first group stage game in the European top competition.
Chelsea spent a record £272 million on summer transfers. Now they will be looking for a new man to take charge of this valuable squad.
Who are the main contenders to replace Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea?
Right at the moment, there are three main candidates on Chelsea's list.
According to Sky Sports, the Premier League giants are expected to approach Brighton over Graham Potter's possible availability. It remains to be seen whether the manager will agree on leaving his job now, especially when Seagulls are doing quite well in the domestic top tier.
Another target for the Blues is the French master Zinedine Zidane. Though he is yet to get acquainted with the Premier League and it's good and bad sides. So this move could likely be less possible.
The third potential candidate to replace Tuchel is Mauricio Pochettino who is currently out of job following his PSG exit. It is very likely that the Argentine international would succeed at Stamford Bridge having a solid experience with Chelsea's London rivals, Tottenham. Ex-PSG boss at Chelsea? It would be a deja vu.
