What Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told Manchester United players before Leeds fixture

Victor Lindelof revealed that Manchester United's aim to fly out of the blocks against Leeds United worked to perfection. The United centre-back was among the goalscorers in a 6-2 rout for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side at Old Trafford. Lindelof told MUTV after the game that United were keen to match Marcelo Bielsa's side for intensity, as per Solskjaer's pre-match instructions. United have had a habit of going a goal down in games this season. "You always want to start games well," Lindelof said. "We knew they would come out quick, they wanted to start on the front foot and the two early goals were perfect for us. "They play with so much intensity and we knew we had to stay concentrated and keep on playing and running like there's no tomorrow. But we managed to do it in a good way. We could have scored a few more goals, six is also good but we could score a little bit more." Lindelof reflected on a "fun" afternoon at Old Trafford, with the three points lifting United to third place in the Premier League table. "A lot of things happened through those 90 minutes, but it was a fun day for us," he added. "We managed to score six goals, obviously we wanted to keep a clean sheet as well but we won the game and that's the most important thing. "It was a good team we were playing against and it didn't matter the result they just kept on going with intensity. They were very hard opponents to play against, but it's nice to score six goals. When we win games of football it gives you confidence. We're on a good run now and we just want to keep on going. We have to recover well because there's some important games coming up. The depth we have in the squad is important in this period. We have lots of games coming up and I don't think any player can play every minute."
