What if those players are injured? Carragher picks the positions Liverpool LACK players

Image - EMPICS sport   Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher has picked the areas, where Liverpool need an improvement.  Former Merseyside club defender doesn't say that starting lineup players do bad or something. Instead, Carragher suggests the squad needs some depth, as some players start almost every week.  Andrew Robertson, Virgil van Dijk. Those two do not really have alternatives. The same could be said about Trent Alexander-Arnold. However, Jurgen Klopp has involved academy starlet Neco Williams in several matches and prepared the youngster for more fixtures in the Premier League for the next season, reports suggest.  The same story with the front three. Salah, Mane and Firmino aren’t usually substituted when it comes to regular important matches. Divock Origi has been massive in some crucial matches of the last season. Still, Carragher suggests that the attacking trio needs alternatives.  "Really, I think Liverpool have been lucky in that the best and most important players for Jurgen Klopp have never really suffered injury-wise, certainly big injuries.” Carragher told Sky Sports (cited by LiverpoolECHO).  "If you think of the front three and the two full-backs, possibly Virgil van Dijk, they are on the team sheet every week. "So I just think, maybe not greater competition but more back-up if something happens. Particularly Andy Robertson at left-back.” he added.  Liverpool have so far been linked with RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner, if we take into account only trusted sources.  We have already suggested which numbers could be available for the German international.
