What Alisson Becker told Jurgen Klopp after Liverpool mistakes against Manchester City

Jurgen Klopp has revealed Alisson Becker's reaction after his mistakes in Liverpool's defeat to Manchester City on Sunday. The Reds suffered a 4-1 defeat to City as Mohamed Salah scored the only goal for the Reds from a penalty spot, meanwhile, Ilkay Gundogan scored a double while Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden also got their names on the scoresheet. Gundogan opened the score in the 49th minute, while Salah equalised having scored from a penalty spot. However, after Alisson twice gifting the ball to City Gundogan and Sterling made the score 3-1, while Foden scored the 4th goal. “These two goals were obviously the killer of the game,” said the Reds boss. “Everybody knows that. “I spoke to him. He is obviously very disappointed and was saying ‘not today, not today’. “I said to him that’s the problem with mistakes, you cannot decide when to make them. “The only thing you can do is learn from it and that’s what he will do and it will never happen to him again, I’m pretty sure. “Tonight it was massive, I would say. That’s okay, he has saved our lives I don’t know how often and is an absolute world-class goalie. Tonight some things went a little bit wrong and we have to take that.” “I said to him already that we have stands and he can shoot the ball there,” said the Reds boss. “It’s a little bit a summary of different things coming together. We didn’t offer exactly the right things. “In the first half Ali played exceptional football. He was really calm on the ball and passed the ball in small spaces exactly how we wanted him to do. “In the second half, at the beginning he didn’t do that. We didn’t make (the spaces) in exactly the same way, and the problem is he doesn’t shoot the ball somewhere far away from the dangerous spots and he knows that. “I can’t help him now through the night but we all have nights like this. Tomorrow he will be okay again and we will go again.” source - LiverpoolECHO / Join us on Telegram
