Speaking to the media, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been asked if he’s interested in succeeding Luis Enrique at Barcelona.
“No, my preference (remaining at Arsenal) is always the same, it will remain the same,” he said.
“I am not looking for jobs of other clubs or jobs of other people. I am just focusing on getting to the next level and try to improve.
“Competent managers always try to get better, to reinvent themselves.”
Wenger was also pushed on his future at Arsenal, with his current deal set to expire in the summer.
“I’ve been here 20 years and many times had the opportunity to leave. I don’t have to convince you my preference has always been Arsenal,” he said.
“But I am objective and lucid enough to make the right decision for myself and the club itself. The club is free to make the decision if it wants and I will respect that.”
