"We need someone like him"- Everton fans react to Thiago Silva update

Everton fans have been reacting to the latest news regarding Thiago Silva's transfer move to the Goodison Park. Duncan Castles (via The Gwladys Street) has claimed that the Toffees have offered the Paris Saint Germain man a deal of two years worth £83,000 per week.  The extension of a second year can only be triggered if the central defender makes up to 25 appearances within his first season at Goodison Park. Silva, compared to Mason Holgate, Michael Keane and Yerry Mina in their respective domestic leagues so far in the 2019/20 season, has averaged more blocks and less fouls per game, whilst he is also dribbled past the least, according to Whoscored. The 35-year-old defender lacks in experience in English football, which may be a question, however Silva may be a steal on a free transfer and relatively low wages if he can still demonstrate his quality and leadership for the Toffees. The Blues' fans took to Twitter to react to the recent update on Silva and here is what they had to say:

Forget whatever the cost is, we need someone like him and players like him don't come around, available and willing to come to a team 'below top tier' very often, most will play top tier then return to a boybood/home country V club or head to MLS/A League, this is a great chance!
