Virgil van Dijk told he's on a different level to Manchester United legend Nemanja Vidic
Manchester United legend Nemanja Vidic was a "dog" and a "fantastic defender", but Liverpool centre-back Virgil van Dijk is "more complete", claims former Chelsea star Frank Leboeuf.
Leboeuf was asked to pick between the two world-class defenders on their day.
Vidic won five Premier League trophies and the Champions League at Manchester United. Van Dijk, meanwhile, has won a solo Champions League.
Leboeuf told ESPN FC: "I would go for Van Dijk. I think he's more complete. I loved Vidic, because I think he was a dog, and a fantastic defender. But Van Dijk can lead the team and has range.
"I don’t think Vidic was capable of doing that. Hats off to Vidic, though."
