Virgil van Dijk has announced on Wednesday that he will not take part in the upcoming Euro 2020 in the squad of the Netherlands.
The centre-back suffered a serious injury during the first Merseyside derby against Everton this season and has missed the rest of it.
The Netherlands international has confirmed in
an interview with Liverpool official website, that he chose to miss the Euros in order to continue his recovery and be ready for the pre-season.
After that shock announcement, van Dijk took to his social media to make some posts over his recovery progress. The caption in of his posts read: "Feeling strong, feeling good!"
