Virgil van Dijk has played down talk of a new deal at Liverpool.
Yesterday the Reds played an away Champions League against Napoli and lost with a 2-0 score. After the game, Liverpool defender was asked about his contract extension.
In an interview with
Sky Sports News chief reporter Bryan Swanson, Van Dijk said: "There is nothing going on, so that's it.
"That's not on me. I saw some reports in the media that I was agreeing a new deal and stuff.
"But I'm not even discussing anything at the moment. The only thing I want to do right now is focus on the games and we'll see in the future what may happen."
Virgil van Dijk has been a key part of Jurgen Klopp's side as he recently won the UEFA Player of the Year award and is nominated for FIFA The Best along with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
