Vincent Kompany gives verdict on Manchester City season and Pep Gaurdiola

Former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has given a verdict on the club season and Pep Guardiola. The champions are on the 2nd place of the league table this season, standing 14 points behind the leaders Liverpool. They have secured their place for the league cup final, the FA Cup 4th round and are to beat Real Madrid in order to progrees beyond the Champions League last-16. Kompany believes there is no need to be upset with Manchester City's season. Speaking on the Blues' future, especially in charge of Pep Guardiola, Kompany told at a Football Writers' Association dinner on Sunday: "They have Pep and no matter what, Pep is the right guy. You never say over with City. It isn't in the hands of City and that is unfortunate but there is so much to look forward to. When you look how they have been performing in cups and the Champions League is still a massive target for the club, there is no reason to be disappointed about the season at this stage. It is an experienced team and they don't have to prove anything to anyone. They have done it, they know what it takes. It isn't about one season, it is about an era, a period of time." Source: MEN
