"Very, very worrying" - Charles Watts suggests exit could be on the cards for Arsenal star

Charles Watts, the Arsenal correspondent for Goal, has been discussing Alexandre Lacazette. The subject of the £37.8m-rated former Lyon striker came up after a supporter asked whether or not in his view, the 29-year-old’s Gunners career was coming towards an end. Lacazette started the season in decent form, scoring in each of Arsenal’s three opening games in the Premier League. However, taking into account his most recent displays, here is what Watts had to say with regards to his Arsenal future. “I do think we are getting towards the end of Lacazette at Arsenal. It is very, very worrying, his form at the moment. You were kind of hoping Laca was going to be set for a decent season this season, and it hasn’t quite happened," he said. “He’s missing big, big chances, his performance against Aston Villa was not one of a top-level forward at all. “He’s not doing what he’s in the team to do at the moment, he’s not linking up the play, he’s not scoring goals, he’s missing big chances – and I’ll be very surprised if he starts after the international break because I’m just not sure how Mikel Arteta can justify Lacazette starting at the moment.”
