Van der Vaart urges Barcelona target De Ligt to choose Bayern Munich

Former Real Madrid and Ajax midfielder Rafael van der Vaart urges Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt to choose Bayern Munich over Barcelona. The 19-year-old has been linked with a move to Barcelona, however, Van der Vaart can’t see him moving to Spain. "Bayern have to get De Ligt, definitely a player for them," he said. "I would recommend him going there. "He is only nineteen years old and has the charisma and confidence of a thirty-year-old player, performs well in interviews and behaves sober and mature, does not dwell when he makes a mistake and goes forward."
