UEFA Champions League 2018/19: Matchday 6
Manchester City will be looking to strengthen their grip on the top spot in-group F when they host Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League tonight.
Pep Guardiola’s side have recovered from a faltering start in the competition to win three of their four games and a win at the Etihad could secure their qualification to the knockout stages.
Despite winning 3-0 at Shakhtar two weeks ago, City manager Pep Guardiola says he is treating Wednesday’s clash at the Etihad Stadium as a final.
Ilkay Gundogan and Nicolas Otamendi are included in City’s squad. Kevin De Bryune and Eliaquim Mangala are the only squad players unavailable.
Fonseca could decide to hand a recall to Taison with the Brazilian having been introduced from the bench against Dynamo Kiev on Saturday.
Viktor Kovalenko is also a likely starter having netted the winning goal shortly after being sent on by his manager.
