UCL. Juventus V Manchester United: Preview and Possible Starting XI

UEFA Champions League 2018/19: Matchday 6
  • Venue: Juventus Stadium
  • Date: Wednesday, 7 November
  • Kick-off time: 8pm GMT
Cristiano Ronaldo will get another chance to score against his former club as Juventus and Manchester United face off in Turin on Wednesday night. Juve star Ronaldo could not find the net on his Old Trafford return in matchday 3, but Paulo Dybala's goal handed the Italian champions a richly deserved 1-0 victory in Manchester to take control of Group H. With Juve almost certain to top the group, Jose Mourinho knows United - second in the table with four points (two ahead of Valencia) - are playing for the runners-up spot. Although a defeat could see the Red Devils slip out of the qualification spots with two games to play, United still have a last-16 spot in their hands at this point. Romelu Lukaku was not part of the Manchester United squad which has travelled to face Juventus in the Champions League fixture. The Belgian forward has not returned to training after he missed the weekend win away at Bournemouth, and is now a doubt for the Manchester derby fixture this weekend. Diogo Dalot is the club's only another injured senior player and hasn't travelled to Turin for the Group H showdown on Wednesday night. Juventus have been dealing with several injury problems in the build-up to the game though Mario Mandzukic has returned to the squad. Douglas Costa suffered an ankle injury against Cagliari. Possible Line-Ups
  • Juventus: Szczensy; Cancelo, Chiellini, Bonucci, Sandro; Pjanic, Matuidi, Bentancur; Cuadrado Dybala, Ronaldo
  • Manchester United: De Gea; Young, Smalling, Lindelof, Shaw; Matic, Herrera, Pogba; Rashford, Sanchez, Martial
