Trent Alexander-Arnold reveals the player who could help Liverpool deal with defender crisis after Tottenham win

Liverpool are back to their winning ways as they beat Tottenham on Thursday with the score of 3-1. Roberto Firmino, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Sadio Mane all scored for the Reds, however conceded one from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. Alexander-Arnold was named as Man of the Match by broadcaster BT Sport, and he also praised the performance of Joel Matip, suggesting he could help them deal with the injury crisis. Matip was later replaced by Nat Phillips due to injury. After the game, Alexander-Arnold said: "We’ve had setback after setback, especially in the centre-back area, but he’s (Joel Matip) done a great job in the first-half and then Nat has come on and done an unbelievable job again. It just goes to show the quality we have all around the pitch. "It’s always good to get a goal and help out with the win. It’s what we needed, it’s what we deserved as well. "We dominated most of the game, they obviously had the early goal disallowed which probably would’ve changed the way the game went on. But we’ve come here with a game plan and executed it perfectly. "It was a bit tough when they scored, but we deserved the win today." Source- Liverpool ECHO Join us on Telegram!
