Unai Emery is set to bolster his squad in the summer transfer window and there are players in Arsenal squad who are set to leave instead.
The Spanish coach has little budget to spend on the new players so some of the Gunners’ stars will definitely leave the Emirates with Nacho Monreal among them.
According to reports, Fenerbahce are interested in signing the Spanish left-back if the deal for Alberto Moreno doesn’t pull through.
Monreno, who joined Liverpool from Sevilla in 2014, has rarely featured for the Reds and Febnerbahce are keen to land him.
But if they fail to complete the deal, there is one more option – Arsenal’s Nacho Monreal.
The left-back is on their radar, though his contract situation remains unclear as the Gunners reportedly have an option to extend it by a further year this summer.
And with cash tight at Arsenal following the club’s failure to qualify for the Champions League actvating the option may be a no-brainer for the Gunners.
Fenerbahce finished sixth and 23 points adrift of bitter rivals Galatasaray, who were crowned champions of Turkey at the end of the 2018/19 campaign.
