Tottenham's Son Heung-min receives individual award for a record 4th time

Tottenham forward Son Heung-min has been named as the 2019 Korean Footballer of the Year for a record fourth time. The 27-year-old has won the award in 2013, 2014 and 2017, and now overtakes Newcastle United midfielder Ki Sung-Yeung, who had also won it on three previous occasions. Son played a major part in Tottenham’s remarkable run to the Champions League final, which included two impressive performances in the epic last-eight victory against Manchester City – netting three of Spurs’ four goals over the two legs. He has taken his form into the 2019/2020 campaign and is in incredible form for Spurs as has scored more goals than any other player at the club, whilst also adding three for South Korea on the international stage.
